Here’s a lesson for upper-intermediate and advanced learners of English.

There are rules to follow in this lesson but ultimately, collocation is king. The aim is to go beyond a handful of standard adverbial modifiers we can use with gradable and ungradable adjectives and direct attention to specific lexical units which bring an idiomatic quality to our communication.
