- He said that he was tired. – “I am tired”.
- “I’ve never seen anything like this before.” – He said that he had never seen anything like that before.
- She said that she liked the film. – “I like the film”.
- “I can’t attend the meeting tomorrow.” – She said that she couldn’t attend the meeting the next day.
- He said that he could help me. – “I can help you”.
- “I’ll have finished the report by Friday.” – He said that he would have finished the report by Friday.
- She said that she had finished her homework. – “I have finished my homework”.
- “I may not be able to come.” – She said that she might not be able to come.
- He said that he didn’t understand the question. – “I don’t understand the question”.
- “I didn’t realise how difficult it would be.” – He said that he hadn’t realised how difficult it would be.
- She said that she was waiting for her friend. – “I am waiting for my friend”.
- “I’ve been working here for over ten years.” – She said that she had been working there for over ten years.
- He said that he had gone to the shop. – “I went to the shop”.
- “I must finish this by tonight.” – He said that he had to finish that by that night.
- She said that she lived near the station. – “I live near the station”.
- “I shouldn’t have said that.” – She said that she shouldn’t have said that.
- He said that he was studying for his exam. – “I am studying for my exam”.
- “I’m meeting them at noon.” – He said that he was meeting them at noon.
- She said that she would call me later. – “I will call you later”.
- “I might have left my keys at home.” – She said that she might have left her keys at home.
- He said that he was going to start a new job. – “I am going to start a new job”.
- “I wish I had more time.” – He said that he wished he had more time.
Every player needs a counter – pens tops, coins, etc. work well – and you will need dice, although a coin can work as a substitute, with ‘heads’ moving three spaces and ‘tails’ moving one space.
